Head Bolts vs. ARP Head Studs
The head bolts are torque to yield which means that the bolt is designed to stretch. The ARP head stud is a high tinsel strength bolt, people say that it does not stretch which is untrue. Every bolt has to stretch to hold something in place. The difference is that the head stud stretches a minimum amount so that under pressure it doesn't stretch anymore. The ARP head studs are an essential part of correcting the 6.0 powerstroke's head gasket repair.
