Dummy Plugs
Dummy plugs on 05 and up for the 6.0 powerstroke are a problem. The reason the dummy plugs wear out is because of the new high pressure oil pump that is used. The new high pressure oil pump is a superior design but the problem with it is the pump creates noise in the system, and this noise is the reason that the o-rings get chipped away. Ask anyone that has an 04 with the old pump if they have ever blown a dummy plug the answer will be no. The new update for the dummy plug is a nylon backing to help absorb the noise from the pump.
